University of Connecticut Tight End, Steve Brouse, Signs with Reliance Sports Management
 Reliance Sports Management (“RSM”) is excited to announce the signing of University of Connecticut tight end, Steve Brouse (Selinsgrove, PA/Selinsgrove)!
Prior to the 2008 season, Steve was ranked as a top 10 tight end by BLESTO scouting service. He is well-built tight end, with the strength to be a good in-line blocker. Steve is versatile, having experience lining up as an in-line tight end, a motion H-back and fullback. He shows hands to pluck balls away from body and make tough catches. He gets started upfield quickly after catches and runs hard, maintaining balance while absorbing hard hits to gain yards after contact. From an in-line alignment, Steve makes seal run blocks with good technique, pinning defenders out of plays. When used in motion, he makes good open-field blocks and on "Wham" blocks (i.e., blocks against defensive tackles allowed into backfield off snap). He is a very smart football player.
Steve is the recipient of the 2008 UConn Football Alumni Award, an honor bestowed upon the Husky who best exhibits leadership and dedication and is viewed as the ultimate team player. He finished his career at UConn with 52 catches for 595 yards (11.4 yards per catch) and 5 touchdowns.
An excellent student, Steve received his degree in History from UConn this December.
