Montell Owens Named First Alternate for the AFC Pro Bowl Roster/Accepted to NFL Business Management and Entrepreneurial Program at Harvard University

Reliance Sports Management (“RSM”) client and Jacksonville Jaguar standout player Montell Owens (University of Maine) has been named the first alternate to the 2010 AFC Pro Bowl roster as a special teams player.

Montell, who just completed his fourth season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, is the special teams captain and led the team in special teams tackles while playing in all 16 games. According to at least one General Manager, Montell graded out as the best special team player in the league in 2009. He has played in 62 career games, all for the Jaguars.

While at Maine, Montell was a member of the 2002 Atlantic-10 Championship team and played in 38 career games at running back and on special teams.

Montell has continued his success off-the-field by recently being accepted to the NFL Business Management and Entrepreneurial Program at Harvard University. Beginning February 15, Montell will take part in an executive education program that addresses the unique business opportunities and challenges faced by NFL players during and following their professional football careers.

RSM is proud of Montell’s accomplishments, both on- and off-the-field!!
